(belated) #nationalpuppyday Daisy Duck inu was part of a #Disney Litter I had asked a seller about since Nov'17. When her other sibs “Mickey” and “Minnie” fell through, I wasn’t all that confident about being able to pick up a pup by the end of a wonky year.
Turns out the next available black and tan #ShibaInu was a 14-wk old baby gurl that became the family’s early Xmas present on December 21st.
Oddly enough, “Daisy” was one of the flower names I was considering up till the pick up date; but after doing some research on Japanese monikers as most Shibas have, “EMiEKO” or Emi had a certain ring to it… (swipe R for the meaning). All doggy names should end in a vowel, I think. Not to mention the starting “E” taken after my Mom and recently moved-out Brother made perfect sense to keep in the family.
So there’s the explanation for her first Lavender (not foofy-pink) collar, her E-name and my new affinity for daisy fleurs. Emi’s now 6-mos, shot-updated, spayed & ready to take on the foolish boi-dawgs that get in her way.
Anyone close enough knows I’m looking to go places this year and I’m taking her with me. And if you haven’t heard by now, it’s still #YearOfTheDog.
